Your generosity is making an impact in Israel! Here are two messages of thanks from members of our Israeli family:

Hey!

My name is Shir Tal and I’m from Kiryat Shmona. I went to Camp Tawonga last year. I wanted to thank you all for the support and efforts to help the citizens of Israel. I heard the Jewish community in the States is raising money to buy televisions and computers for the children sitting in the shelters. You have no idea how much the people here are grateful for that! So again I want to thank you all for bringing hope and a little bit of peace to all of us.

With all the appreciation,

Shir

To the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish community:

Dear brothers and sisters,

My name is Yahav Lichner, I’m 26 years old, and I serve as an officer in the Israel Defense Force (IDF) in Gaza Strip Division command. My brother, 20 years old, serves in the Israel Air Force (IAF) in Northern Israel.  Our family lives in a Northern Israel village by the name of Kiryat Tivon (near the city of Haifa) that was the target of several rocket attacks launched from Lebanon recently.

I was very happy to read in Ha’aretz about your support and about your standing with us.

I was excited to read that we are in your hearts and in your minds.

I would like to thank you personally, and in the name of my family, for your concern, care and support.

We have had difficult days recently. Days of campaign and fighting, days of prayers for peace and stability.

Our people are convinced that we shall win; we know that justice is on our side, although we suffer losses.

Your deep support is very important and meaningful for us as it strengthens us in our struggle for security and calm.

These are the hours to learn that you are with us. We need it!

God bless you.

Yahav, Kiryat Tivon, Israel
