(San Francisco, CA) – Tom Dine, CEO of the Jewish Community Federation (JCF) of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, has announced his resignation effective June 30, 2007.
Mr. Dine made the announcement after 20 months at the Federation. “On behalf of the Jewish Community Federation, I want to thank Tom for his leadership and contributions to the Federation,” said John Pritzker, President of the JCF Board of Directors.
Strategic plan implementation and the Annual Campaign will continue unabated. The JCF senior management team consisting of Deena Soulon, Chief Operating and Financial Officer, Phyllis Cook, Associate Executive Director and Endowment Director, Roberta Catalinotto, Chief Development Officer, Karen Bluestone, Planning Director and Steve Leibman, Chief Human Resources Officer will manage the transition. John Pritzker commented, “We have an extraordinarily deep and talented team of senior managers who will continue to implement the important work of the Federation.”
The Jewish Community Federation is the central organization for fundraising, planning, outreach and leadership development for Jewish communities in San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma counties. In fiscal year 2006, the Federation’s Annual Campaign allocated $17.6 million to more than 60 agencies providing social services, educational and cultural programs in the Bay Area, in the U.S., Israel and elsewhere in the world; and the Federation’s Endowment Fund provided more than $162.2 million for a variety of grants, seed projects and emergency needs.
