The Dayenu Fellowship, a program of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin & Sonoma Counties has initiated the program to support reciprocal 1-2 week exchanges between established Israeli scientists and their colleagues around the world to enhance the spirit of collaboration, international understanding, and entice travel to Israel.

Priority with be given to high-level research in the life sciences, however, meritorious proposals in other areas (e.g. social science), may be considered from time to time as well.

The fellowship award will provide $25,000 to each participating scientist, with priority given to those who have not traveled to Israel previously.

Fellowships will be awarded for a six-month period, with $25,000 USD paid to each participating scientist.

The selection of candidates to receive fellowship awards will be made at the recommendation of a Scientific Advisory Committee.  The selection process is confidential and the results are final. No information will be provided about the ranking of applications, or the basis for funding decisions.

The number of awards granted may vary from year to year depending on the availability of funds.
