Who we are
The Marin Jewish Community Teen Foundation just completed its second year. Our board is made up of high school students who want to gain valuable leadership skills and experience, bond with socially conscious Jewish peers, and make a difference through realization of Jewish values. Applications will be available in Fall 2010 for next year’s board. We invite you to apply at that time. Our board members will:
- Boost their leadership skills
- Connect with Jewish youth
- Expand their Jewish identity
- Debate tough choices
- Engage in social justice issues
- Attend a fun, inspirational and well-planned weekend retreat
- Participate in skill-building seminars and youth-led Foundation board meetings on seven Sunday afternoon meetings
- Contribute to a pooled fund being matched by donors
- Become effective grantmakers and strategic youth philanthropist
