The Marin/San Francisco Jewish Community Teen Foundation's end of year grants celebration ceremony will be held on the evening of Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Mill Valley. We invite the community to join us and learn about the great work of our Teen Foundation board members and their grantee agencies!

Who we are

The Marin/San Francisco Jewish Community Teen Foundation is a vibrant board made up of high school students from Marin and San Francisco.  Students on the board gain valuable leadership skills and experience, bond with socially conscious Jewish peers, and make a difference through realization of Jewish values. Our board members will:

  • Boost their leadership skills
  • Connect with Jewish youth
  • Expand their Jewish identity
  • Debate tough choices
  • Engage in social justice issues
  • Attend a fun, inspirational and well-planned weekend retreat November 20 to 22, 2009
  • Participate in skill-building seminars and youth-led Foundation board meetings on seven Sunday afternoon meetings from December 2009 to May 2010
  • Contribute to a pooled fund being matched by donors
  • Become effective grantmakers and strategic youth philanthropist

Mission Statement

The Marin/San Francisco Jewish Community Teen Foundation will fund organizations that address the basic needs of people in nations affected by violent conflict, providing them with green technologies that lead them toward self-sufficiency.

Help us with our fundraising efforts

Right now we are researching organizations that fit our mission, and trying to raise the neccessary funds to support them. You can help us by making a donation today. http://www.teenfoundation.org/marinsf

What does it cost?

Each Jewish Community Teen Foundation board member is subsidized by over $4,500 from various funders and the Jewish Community Endowment Fund. While the Foundation program is free to board members and their families, we do ask each board member to cover the $350 cost of the three day Bay Area Youth Philanthropy Retreat at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Scholarships are available to assist families in covering this cost.
