comments from some of the 2001 Teen Fellows:
LEORA
WOLF-PRUSAN
"To be a Diller Teen Fellow means being part of a group of teens
who are dedicated to learning about Jewish values through action.
Not every day can find a teen willing to discuss issues in the Bay
Area and then want to solve them or educate their peers about them 'Jewishly.'
I think this is amazing."
DAVID
CUSHMAN
"The most exciting part of the Diller Teen Program was the
opportunity to meet and develop leadership skills with other teens
who share my passion for Judaism and social justice. I am usually
one of the most active people in my youth group, but as a DTF, I was
surrounded by teens who feel the same commitment and drive about
life."
NATASHA
FONG-COHEN
"The Diller Teen Fellows Program helped me to thkin more about
my own personal Judaism and what my obligation to Jewish community,
and the world at large, is. The best part about Diller has been
meeting and being able to establish connections with the Israeli
teens this spring. We had a lot of fun and it was amazing to see the
friendships that we were able to make with each other, despite
obvious cultural barriers. The environmental tour of Costa Rica was
one of the best times I've ever had: we learned so much about our
surroundings, our spirituality,
and each other. The experiences that I had will always remain
important to me in the future, and I hope that the lessons that I
learn will stay with me as well."

"Being a Diller changed me by showing me new pathways to
leadership and helping me improve my leadership skills. I had the
opportunity to interact with my Jewish community and also made
long-lasting friendships in the process."
