A View of Contemporary Israel
Shorts and Animations from Israeli Film Schools
This year we are proud to show the work from two major Film schools Ma’aleh School of Television, Film and the Arts in Jerusalem and Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. The film series brings a very diverse collection of shorts offering a peek into contemporary Israel, through animation, drama and comedy.
The Ma'aleh School of Television, Film and the Arts, trains filmmakers to produce work inspired by their Jewish heritage, fostering a unique connection between the world of media and Jewish culture. The school aims to build bridges between Jewish tradition and social experience, as well as between the religious and secular worlds.
Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design is one of the most prestigious art schools in the world. Bezalel’s unique strength lies in its ability to respond swiftly to cultural changes, as demonstrated by the numerous artistic breakthroughs it has been responsible for.
