Latkes & Vodkas. Chanukah party with vodka tastings. See photos

Hanukkah Hoe Down. Annual cabaret-strip-dance-holiday show & party co-sponsored by the Alliance.

Jews on Ice. Ice skating at Yerba Buena Center in downtown San Francisco for LGBT Jews and friends. See photos

Yom Keshet. Local educational mini-conference on LGBT issues in Jewish day schools for educators, administrators and parents, co-sponsored by the Alliance.

Rebbetzin Gross’s Text in the City. A Kabbalah text study on sexuality done by Israeli drag performer Rebbetzin Hadassah Gross, co-sponsored by the Alliance and the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.

First Thursday Schmooze. Monthly mixer held at various locations including Mecca and Hotel Monaco for LGBT Jews and their friends.

Gay Day on the River. Day-long canoe trip down the Russian River, followed by a lavish barbeque at the lovely riverfront home of Alliance member and generous donor Walter Leisse. See photos

Karaoke at the Mint. Sing-along event for queer Jews and allies.

Super Sunday. JCF’s annual phone-a-thon fundraiser. More than 1,000 volunteers participate in various capacities, including making calls to 10,000 donors in San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma Counties, and on the Peninsula.

Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals 1933-45. Traveling exhibit of the US Holocaust museum presentment at the SF Public Library.

Claude Cahun & Marcel Moore’s LGBT & Nazi Resistance-Inspired Art Works. LGBT Alliance held a private tour of the works and brunch at the Judah L. Magnes Museum.

Pursuit of Equality. The Alliance presented the screening of this groundbreaking film about Mayor Newsom marrying same-sex partners at SF city hall in February 2004.

The SF Jewish Film Festival. The Alliance presented the American premiere of groundbreaking Israeli film “Keep Not Silent” about the Orthodyke community in Jerusalem followed by a reception with the filmmaker.

29th Annual Frameline LGBT Film Festival. The Alliance co-presented the “Joy of Jewish film” program at the festival. The 270-seat Roxie Theater was completely sold out.
