2009 Judith Chapman Memorial Women’s Leadership Award

Each year, the Judith Chapman Women’s Leadership Fund of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund recognizes a woman who exemplifies significant and sustained volunteer leadership in the Jewish and general community, serves as a role model for others, and values her Jewish identity and the importance of tzedakah in her life.

Recipient: Ann Bear

Ann BearFor more than thirty-five years, Ann Bear has served as an inspiration for others by being a dedicated volunteer, philanthropist and community leader. She has been a strong believer that the role women play in philanthropy will be the backbone for the future. Ann served as President of the Women’s Alliance for three years, helped found the Women in Leadership (WIL) Program, and was the first woman to endow her gift. She currently serves on several community boards and continues to lead by example directing her efforts toward building a stronger Jewish community both locally and in Israel.

Our keynote speaker is Vicki Agron
