If you’re single and Jewish  — or part of a couple and Jewish — then we have ample opportunities for you to get out, get involved, meet people and have some fun.

Newcomers receptions

Want to connect with the local Jewish community? Join us for newcomers receptions, held quarterly in San Francisco and on the Peninsula. Email yad@sfjcf.org for more information or check our calendar for upcoming events.

Blue Mondays & Happy Hours

Join young Jewish adults from all over the San Francisco Bay Area at exciting local venues for food, drinks and mingling. No RSVP necessary.

Blue Mondays are one of the most popular events in the Bay Area for Jewish professionals to socialize, network and just relax with other young adults over a drink after work. Held at some of the hippest hangouts, YAD Blue Mondays attract sizable crowds.

To ensure that people who live and work on the Peninsula can enjoy YAD Blue Mondays, we have added dates on the Peninsula just for you!

For information on how to attend or volunteer for Blue Mondays, check our calendar, contact us at yad@sfjcf.org or 415.512.6280.

Shabbat dinners

Shabbat dinners are a great way for singles and couples to end a hectic week. Enjoy a delicious meal and wonderful company at a YAD Shabbat, hosted at private homes in San Francisco and the Peninsula. Check out our calendar for the next Shabbat dinner and RSVP online!

Latke Ball

The original and best annual party for Jewish young adults in the Bay Area! Each over a thousand people enjoy amazing DJs and live entertainment and party until 2:00 a.m. Join the Latke Ball committee and help plan the next one! Contact yad@sfjcf.org for more information.

Summer Sizzle

Summer Sizzle is YAD’s big picnic party. Last summer we barbequed at Flood Park in Menlo Park with nearly 350 people (from our Federation and the Young Adults Division of the Jewish Community Federation of Silcon Valley (SVYAD). Everyone enjoyed the sunshine, the barbecue and the company of hundreds of young, Jewish adults from the greater Bay Area. The more active folks played volleyball and other sports; the rest of us took advantage of the opportunity to laze around in the sun, schmooze with old friends and make a few new ones. Help us plan Summer Sizzle next year by joining the committee. Contact yad@sfjcf.org for more information.

Mitzvah Projects

“An Army of Mensches,” YAD’s Mitvzah Corps is a community service group that strives to make a difference in people's lives through acts of tikkun olam (healing the world). YAD’s Mitzvah Corps will pair with various agencies throughout the year and volunteer. All are welcome. Join Mitzvah Corps today!

Find out about the next Mitzvah Corps event by going to our calendar or email yad@sfjcf.org
If you are looking for more opportunities to help others, check out the volunteer listings at Planit Jewish.
