Ethiopian Fathers and Children
Parenting workshop sessions
provide enriched parenting skills and self-esteem to fathers to help them “reclaim their role” in the family unit. The typical participant
is a man with a child between the ages of 8 and 12. Besides workshops
on parenting skills, the program offers computer classes for fathers and
children together and a drumming class to provide a non-verbal method
of communication between the generations.
