From the moment hostilities broke out, we have been in contact with our office in Jerusalem, getting up-to-the-minute information and developing response strategies. This Federation has a long history of a unique engagement with committed lay leaders and partners in Israel in building a stronger, more democratic, and pluralistic society for all of Israel's citizens. We’ve mobilized immediate assistance to the conflict zone to reinforce our programs, not only to provide immediate assistance but to strengthen the communities in addressing long-term needs. We’ve heard directly from our partners in Israel how important this work is. We’ve heard how our programs have become the center of family life in some communities.
