We coordinate missions to Israel every year. Each mission is planned
to:
- Expose and educate you to the culture and political issues facing
Israel
- Strengthen your Jewish identity
- Educate you about the impact you make in Israel
- Facilitate interaction and build relationships between visitors
and Israelis
All of our missions are staffed with knowledgeable bilingual guides
who provide a unique and in-depth exploration of Israel. You
will get a first-hand view of the impact you make on the daily lives
of Israelis. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate
on and participate in the programs and projects we bring to Israel.
And most important, you will have an opportunity to engage in a
meaningful dialogue with Israelis making a difference in Israel
and in Israel-Diaspora relations.
Whenever we visit Israel, we travel up to the country’s northern
region. The Upper Galilee is one of Israel’s most beautiful
provinces, offering an abundance of adventure travel opportunities.
Join us for one of these upcoming scheduled missions:
Diller Teen Fellows: Summer Seminar
As a part of the year-long Diller Teen Fellows program, all four Diller Teen Fellow (DTF) groups (Baltimore, Cleveland, Detroit and San Francisco) will be attending a three-week summer seminar that will inspire powerful friendships with their peers and engage them in Jewish life and learning. Join them on this journey as they report, first-hand and in their own words, how this experience profoundly impacts their lives.
National Young Leadership Mission

Learn more about our Israel @ 60 Mission
The Israel Center and Business Leadership Council took 108 members of the community, from both the East and “West” Bay, on the Israel @ 60 Mission. They were exposed to all that the Israel Center's Travel Initiative has to offer. An extensive evaluation revealed that those individuals (approximately half) who had never been to Israel gained a new perspective on their Jewish identity, their role in the Jewish community, and were excited to further explore Israel. Those who had been to Israel before and already had some connection reported to have found ways to further incorporate Israel into their lives - in terms of their own businesses, personal development, and family travels plans.
The itineraries for the trip were based on the participants' choice of one of three interest-tracks: Business, Archeology and History, and Arts and Culture. Click here to see all three itineraries.
All the photos from the trip are online, and you can see videos, stories, and more by visiting the Federation's blog and clicking on the Israel category.

A six-day historic journey was organized specifically for Bay Area women. They explored the Jewish state and saw how women are making a difference by improving the lives of others. Read about the March 2007 mission’s participants and their experiences.
