Bobby Lent is the managing partner of Hillsven LLC. Founded in 2001, the firm invests and plays an active role in innovative high-tech companies primarily in Israel and the U.S.A. Mr. Lent is the Chairman of Traiana, Inc., an early-stage enterprise software company focused on Trading Relationship Management (TRM), based in New York with its core R&D located in Ramat Gan, Israel.
In early 1995, Mr. Lent was the co-founder of Ariba (NASDAQ: ARBA), an enterprise software company, which is the leader in Enterprise Spend Management (ESM). From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Lent led Ariba's marketing, business development and corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Lent was vice president of marketing for Inmac, an international supplier of networking and computing equipment to Fortune 1000 enterprises. Prior to that, he held senior product-marketing positions at Quantum and Softbridge Microsystems.
Mr. Lent is the president of the Levine-Lent Family Foundation, which is focused on Jewish day-school education and on pluralism in Israeli education. He and his wife, Fran, are partners in the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education (PEJE), the sustaining resource and central address for the Jewish day school movement in North America. Mr. Lent is a voting member of in the Israel Venture Network (IVN), as well a member of IVN’s board.
He serves on the boards of JCF, the North Peninsula Jewish Campus, the Kehillah Jewish High School of the Silicon Valley, PlanItJewish.com, and the Federation’s Jewish Community Endowment Fund. Mr. Lent received his undergraduate education at U.C. Berkeley and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He also earned certification as a public accountant.
