learning, and one of the best ways to learn is through exposure
and immersion. We’ve gathered the following resources to help
you find available academic travel scholarships.
- Gift of Israel Program of the San Francisco-based Jewish Community
Federation is a joint savings program made possible through
contributions from synagogues, the Federation, and parents to ensure
that teenagers can travel to Israel.
- Haas
Koshland Memorial Award of the San Francisco-based Jewish Community
Federation offers a scholarship for a year of study and
personal development in Israel.
- Bureau
of Jewish Education administers Israel experience scholarships
for Jewish summer camps, First time experience in Israel for teens,
and return study/service visit to Israel for college-age and young
adults.
- San
Francisco State University students studying abroad have
the opportunity to apply for additional scholarships, independent
organizations and governmental aid. Each scholarship has unique
requirements that may focus on financial need, academic excellence,
non-traditional destinations and underrepresented groups.
- Dorot
Travel Grant Program helps build connections between
students and the Land and State of Israel.
- Jewish
Family and Children’s Services provides scholarships,
grants and loans to help offset the expenses of education, vocational
training and loans for professional practice and business development.

Zionist Organization provides links to funding resources
throughout the United States and Israel.
