Networking and socializing plays an integral role in our community. We organize our Annual
Campaign - both by geography and common interest - so that you can participate conveniently where you work, where you live and alongside people with whom you share common interests. The power of communal generosity can start from one seeded idea, be supported by a few, and ultimately champion positive changes for many. The Federation has opportunities for everyone. Most groups have one or more annual events, social gatherings and fundraising opportunities in a variety of settings.
Each group offers different opportunities, including:
- Learning about topics of interest in your business or profession,
the larger society and Jewish identity.
- Traveling to Israel and overseas where Jewish communities thrive.
- Volunteering for “hands-on” work.
- Developing leadership skills.
- Interacting socially with like-minded people.
- Participating in gatherings for young families.
- Attending social, cultural and educational events.
- Participating in holiday celebrations.
Business Leadership Council (BLC) — BLC
is a unique forum for executive-level Bay Area Jewish business
professionals to get involved in the Jewish community. The Council's
goal is to be the ultimate resource for Jewish businessmen and
women.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender
(LGBT) Alliance — A group of Bay Area LGBT Jews
(and their friends and family) who are committed to passionately
building a visible, vocal, and vibrant LGBT Jewish community.
Russian-Jewish Community — More
than 50,000 Russian Jewish immigrants live in the Bay Area — all
beneficiaries of the JCF. The Russian-Jewish Community organizes
cultural and educational programs, develops community leadership
and participates in the annual fundraising campaign to support
the entire Jewish community.
Women's Alliance — By perpetuating
the ideals and values of Jewish heritage and tradition, the Women's
Alliance encourages women to become more deeply involved with and
committed to the Jewish community.
Young Adults Division (YAD) — YAD
offers young Jewish singles, couples and recently arrived Bay area
residents (ages 21 to 40-something) a broad range of social, educational,
volunteer, philanthropic and leadership development opportunities.
We welcome your participation in any group and invite you to join
us at one of our upcoming events.
